Grantsville Utah is the second most populous city in Tooele County, Utah and is located 35 miles west of the beautiful downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
Grantsville presently has a population of 9838. The average annual rainfall is 11 inches per year. The average temperatures can range between the low 20’s in the winter to high 90’s in the summer, with the average winter temperature of 40 degrees and the average summer temperatures in the 80’s.
Grantsville is bordered on the south by South Mountain, which separates Rush Valley from Tooele Valley. On the north side is Stansbury Island and the east and west sides are bordered by the Oquirrh Mountains and Stansbury Range.
Grantsville has grown slowly and steadily throughout its’ existence, but rapid increased in growth occurred during the 1970;s and the 1990’s. The recent growth has been attributed to the close proximity to Salt Lake City and the Wasatch Front. There are numerous businesses, including National and International Corporations, expanding into Tooele Valley.
